ICE vehicle and agents were seen at Hoover Elementary School. On 11/19/25, at 0913 (AM), Agents attempted to apprehend a parent, who managed to escape. The chase resulted in a 2 car crash, no injuries reported. The school went into lockdown. Staff notified local rapid response. Community volunteers responded and stayed on scene until students from 2 schools and 1 daycare in the area were dismissed and taken home by family from 1100-1700 (PM). Other ICE sightings occurred at other schools in Oakland, including Korematsu School on E St, and Greenleaf Elementary. Responders performed on scene verification and found no ICE presence at these other locations, but volunteers stayed on scene as children were dismissed and taken home by family. From 1300-1700 (PM) ICE sighted on International Blvd, between 71st and 81st Ave, making arrests. Responders arrived after incident had concluded. Legal aid organizations confirmed ICE detainment had occurred. No arrests made on school grounds
