This morning around 5 AM, ICE agents beat and arrested Jackie, a longtime community watcher, outside of the ICE office in Santa Ana. We must show the feds that OC stands by our neighbors, and we will not tolerate such lawless aggression anymore!
We got the story when Jackie was released around 9:45 AM. 5-7 ICE agents attacked Jackie as she stood outside the Federal Building, knocking out several teeth and covering her in bruises during their barbaric assault. They illegally arrested and detained her for several agonizing hours, as the rest of us scrambled to figure out what had happened to her.
ICE lied to us, as they always do, about their cause for illegally detaining a US citizen and longtime Santanera. But they cannot explain away the brutal assault, nor can they explain away every other assault committed against our neighbors of every status across OC.
The only solution we see is to kick ICE out of OC and then abolish it entirely. Reform is not an option no amount of body cameras or sensitivity trainings will make a difference for these thugs.
